"People are often surprised at how many art galleries there are in such a small country. The Jura is a land of culture and also the homeland of respected artists such as Coghuf, Wiggli, Tolk, Comment, Kirova and Fürst, to name just a few. There is always an exhibition to see somewhere. I will mention just one, if only because it is so original. It is held each year at the Galerie du Café du Soleil in Saignelégier. Known as Incognito, it displays more than a hundred paintings, all the same size and none bearing a visible signature. The artists, works and styles are all mixed up, presenting the onlooker with a kaleidoscopic parade of colours and brush strokes. It is an enthralling exhibition and some of the paintings have a particular appeal, whatever the unknown artist's identity. That is the kind of art I love."
