"It was Switzerland Tourism who gave us the idea. We saw a map of the regional nature parks of Switzerland in one of their summer brochures. We didn't know that our country had established this kind of park, which we have always appreciated on our holidays in France. We decided to spend a few days in the Doubs region. We discovered St-Ursanne with its medieval charm, the Saut-du-Doubs and also some lesser-known places such as Biaufond and La Bouège. We had some wonderful walks and also tried an E-bike for the first time."

Officially created in August 1999, the Association pour le Parc Naturel Régional du Doubs had the objective of creating a regional nature park in the Doubs region in partnership with the towns, associations, population and cantons concerned.
