"My sister and I spent a brilliant week on horseback. We stayed from Sunday to Saturday and slept there as well. We met some other girls our age and had a great laugh in the dormitories in the evening. We started riding from Monday. In the morning we learned to mount the horse then we cleaned the stalls in the afternoon. One afternoon we even rode the stallion, but it was very hard to control. I had to hold on tight so I wouldn't fall off. On Friday, we finally set off on a proper ride: a whole day riding in the pastures of the Franches-Montagnes among the big fir trees (so beautiful!) and we even did our first full gallop. But all good things must come to an end and the next day, we had to leave this wonderful place."

The horse camps are generally organised for children and held over a week. Besides hours of horse riding, children learn all about caring for horses. Rates include accommodation, meals and riding lessons. The groups comprise about ten children.
