"We met up with our mixed choir at a typical Franches-Montagnes farm for a horse-drawn cart ride. Trust our older members to come up with this, I thought: spending an hour and a half sitting in a cart, getting shaken up with no chance to move. Frankly, there are better ways to have fun. But in fact, once we got into the cart things warmed up very quickly. There was an accordion player (who happened to know our repertoire) and the friendly drivers told us tales about their part of the world... it was an unexpected pleasure!"
