"It was the second week of our honeymoon... Our kind organiser had arranged a three-day wagon ride for us. After spending a night at a gîte, we were taught how to harness and drive the horse. Supervised by a guide, we learned how to control our new convoy before setting off on a half-day "trial run" and returning to the gîte. Marguerite, our mare, had also earned a good night's sleep. Over the next two days, we set off as a couple for our first real outing, with a picnic hamper packed in the wagon. We wandered up hill and down dale along the narrow paths with the map in our hands, following the well-signposted routes through the enchanted scenery among the fir trees, cows and horses roaming free. The sense of freedom, the scent of wild nature and the shimmering landscapes were absolutely lovely! We stopped for a while to satisfy our hunger. At the foot of a fabulous fir tree we organised a small meal for the two of us. Thank you, Jura..."
